Volunteers needed for a nutrient supplementation study
A research team at the University of Otago Christchurch are looking for vounteers with metabolic syndrome to take part in a study to investigate whether supplementation with vitamin C and micronutrients results in improved metabolic health.
Get in touch with the research team for more information if you:
- Are 18 years old and over;
- Are Overweight (BMI over 30, or have a big tummy); and
- Have any of the following conditions:
- high blood sugar (hyperglycaemia);
- raised triglycerides/ lipids/ fats;
- low HDL/ "good" cholesterol; or
- high blood pressure (hypertension).
Screening for the study includes a FREE metabolic health check. The study involves taking supplements for 12 weeks with three clinic visits during this time.
Your mahi (help) will be compensated with $60 of petrol vouchers if you decide to participate.
