Dying Matters Week Mix and Mingle: What Matters Most?
Connect with community members who are inspired by the concept of living in a compassionate community where we can support one another during life’s most challenging times. Everyone is welcome to attend this FREE family-friendly interactive event.
Date: Sunday 13th September 2026.
Time: 10.30am to 2pm.
Location: Auaha Room at Tūranga Library (Cathedral Square, Central City).
Cost: FREE.
This community event is an opportunity to:
- Have a conversation with a death doula, celebrant, hospice staff and volunteers.
- Learn about Compassionate Communities, No One Dies Alone (NODA), Threshold Choir, and Death without debt.
- Preview Melanie Mayell's new Journal "Mortality Muse" and play with some conversation starter cards.
- Help create a “What Matters Most” collage.
- Enjoy some “Invisible String” activities such as making some origami hearts and decorating the Remembrance tree as a way to remember your loved ones and consider how you might want to be remembered.
