Upcoming Health Promotion Forum online workshops
The Health Promotion Forum of NZ (HPF) is hosting a series of online workshops marking the marking the 40th anniversary of the World Health Organization's landmark Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion.
The Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion is a framework that continues to shape how we think about health and wellbeing here in Aotearoa and around the world.
All sessions will be run via Zoom and will cost $29 for HPF members or $99 for non-members.

Māori Health Promotion Workshop: Oranga Whānau Oranga Tangata in 2026
How can Māori health promotion continue to thrive in a changing world? This workshop from Megan Tunks (Te Whānau-a-Apanui, Whakatōhea) will centre Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Māori leadership, and Mātauranga Māori in health promotion practice.
Date: Wednesday 9th September 2026.
Time: 11am to 12.30pm.
Pacific Health Promotion workshop: Where to From Here?
This workshop will reflect on four decades of progress, since the Charter was adopted, and ask the critical question: Where to from here?
Drawing on perspectives from global health leadership, academic research, community development and frontline service delivery, distinguished Pacific leaders will examine the Charter's enduring legacy and explore the future of Pacific health promotion in an increasingly complex world.
