Upokohue: A subaquatic symphony for Whakaraupō
Take your ears underwater to tune into the marine life of Whakaraupō | Lyttelton Harbour played through underwater speakers in Norman Kirk Pool in Lyttelton. Bring your togs to experience this sensory symphony.
Upokohue | Hector’s dolphins communicating, seaweed photosynthesising, and the sounds of boats and port maintenance have been composed by multisensory artist Dr Jo Burzynska into an underwater symphony.
Dates:
- Saturday 23rd November 2024;
- Sunday 24th November 2024;
- Monday 25th November 2024;
- Saturday 30th November 2024; or
- Sunday 1st December 2024.
Time: 6.15 to 7pm. Experience starts at 6.30pm.
Location: Norman Kirk Memorial Pool (54 Oxford Street, Lyttelton).
Cost: $5 plus booking fee per person. One child is FREE with a paying adult - additional children need to pay.
