November events at the Richmond Community Gardens
All events will be held at the Richmond Community Garden and Riverlution Eco Hub (46A Vogel Street, Richmond) - unless stated otherwise.
Planting and gardening sessions are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
Repair Riverlution
It's time to revolt against throw-away culture! Let's reclaim the things we own and take pride in maintaining and repairing them.
Skilled and professional repair volunteers will be available to help fix your stuff.
Date: Tuesday 19th November 2024.
Time: 5.30 to 7.30pm.
Cost: Koha.

Wānanga Ikura with Para Kore
Join Miriama from Para Kore to delve into the cultural significance of ikura | periods and its connections to our lands, atua, and generations past and future. Together, we will learn how to better care for ourselves and Papatūānuku.
This wānanga aims to raise awareness about the environmental impact of menstrual products and foster whanaungatanga through meaningful conversations about our ikura.
Date: Tuesday 19th November 2024.
Time: 6pm.
Cost: FREE.

Weaving Water Bottle Holders
Embark on a creative journey with Inga from the Foraging and Growing Corner in this hands-on workshop.
You'll learn the art of weaving with flax to craft your own unique water bottle holder. It's a perfect blend of nature, creativity, and practicality.
Water bottle holders are designed to encourage more people to walk and explore life with a bit less rush. Same techniques can be adjusted to weaving plant pot holders.
Date: Saturday 23rd November 2024.
Time: 10.30am to 1.30pm.
Cost: Suggested koha $20 or some vegetables from your garden.

Join this exciting day packed full of fun activities designed to help you manage garden pest organically, promote biodiversity and connect with nature.

Come along to a fun family event to learn about new plants with Foraging Corner! Everyone is welcome.

Dog Snuffle Mat Workshop
Make your pup a snuffle matt made with love at this workshop from Red Zone Dogs.
Snuffle mats are great for enrichment and keeping your dog entertained. Fabric will be provided but you can bring a fleece item to recycle.
