Learn more about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) is a group of inherited disorders that mostly affect connective tissue, primarily the skin, joints and blood vessel walls.
Learn more about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome by attending an upcoming introductory talk by Wendy Dragt - a nurse with MECFS Canterbury.
- Wednesday 29th January 2025 - starting at 1pm: Mary Potter Community Centre (442 Durham Street North, St Albans);
- Wednesday 12th February 2025 - starting at noon: Online via Zoom; or
- Wednesday 19th March 2025 - starting at 1pm: The Skurr Centre at the Rangiora Showgrounds (156 Ashley Street, Rangiora).
Wendy will discuss the diagnostic criteria for EDS, it’s similarities to Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and its symptoms, impacts and general management. It is important to differentiate between these conditions so that people are not misdiagnosed and are given the best management advice.
The session will be recorded and available in late February 2025 on the MECFS Canterbury YouTube channel.
