Documentary Premiere: Tiaki Moana - Guardians of the Ocean
Come along to the University of Canterbury for this special FREE evening of film, kōrero, and connection. The Tiaki Moana documentary captures the powerful journey of the Tiaki Moana initiative - a Pacific-led movement for ocean protection that brought together 200 participants from 35 countries, including youth leaders, scientists, policymakers, and community voices.
The summit was held in March 2025 in Tahiti and Mo’orea, andwas a milestone in regional collaboration, storytelling, and shared commitment to safeguarding our ocean.
This premiere is an opportunity to learn more about the Tiaki Moana kaupapa, reflect on the importance of collective action, and connect with others working to protect and restore te moana. All welcome.
