FREE insulation available now from Community Energy Action
FREE insulation is available from Community Energy Action (CEA) in Canterbury (from Kaikōura to Ashburton) and on the West Coast.
To qualify, homeowners need to:
- live in the house they own (no rentals); AND
- have a Community Services Card; OR
- live at a qualifying address - there are qualifying addresses in EVERY suburb.
Top-ups also qualify. All insulation installed before 2008 is likely to need a top-up. This service applies to ceiling and underfloor insulation only.
Apply now for free insulation from CEA.
The process to get free insulation
Applying is simple. Book in now for a free, no-obligation insulation assessment by one of CEA's energy assessors. The energy assessor will check existing insulation, measure up the area to insulate and confirm eligibility for free insulation. Next they will make an appointment to install the insulation.
Contact CEA for more information (03 374 7222, 0800 GETWARM, or info[at]cea.co.nz).
You can also fill in the online enquiry form on the CEA website.
