Access the Complex Childrens Respite Care Connections Service
The Complex Children's Respite Care Connections Service (CCRCCxS) at Nurse Maude assists the families of children and young people with complex health support needs, and especially their full-time carers.
CCRCCxS can help you to access respite care to suit your needs, by:
- acting as an advocate, support person and liaison across all the services you are involved with to ensure the system works as best it can to support you and your family;
- coaching and supporting you to navigate your way around these support systems;
- helping you and your family develop and put in place a respite plan that supports you to maintain family wellbeing over time;
- supporting you to access a CCRCCxS volunteer to provide some Family Carer support, as needed.
Any health professional or support agency can refer you to the CCRCCxS service.
Contact CCRCCxS Coordinator Karen Lilly for more information or to access their services (03 375 4200, 027 807 9475 or karen.lilly[at]nursemaude.org.nz).
