QuakeStudies now available for all to use
QuakeStudies is
the high-spec research repository and University of Canterbury node
of UC CEISMIC (http://www.ceismic.org.nz).
It has been created to help people memorialise, understand, and
learn from the Canterbury earthquakes.
The UC QuakeStudies go-live collections contain material from
Fairfax Media, Environment Canterbury and the NZ Historic Places
Trust. The links at the bottom of this email provide a small
sampling of the range of significant material the repository
already contains.
In the coming weeks and months, Quakestudies will add further
content from a variety of sources and expand exponentially.
Notably, we will soon be ready to present in QuakeStudies a
significant research-based collection from the NCW Women's Voices
project co-ordinated by Assoc. Professor Rosemary Du Plessis,
stories from people interviewed at the Quakebox, and the outcomes
of a range of projects supported by the CEISMIC Contestable
Research Fund. The resource will also be available to promote and
underpin University of Canterbury research into earthquake related
risk, resilience and renewal.
Here are some samples of the content in Quakestudies from our
three Go-Live partners.
