Work placements needed for ARA Health and Wellbeing students
ARA are seeking advocacy and support provider organisations who could take an ARA student for work placement in semester 1 next year - late February to late June 2025. The students are studying for the Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4).
The students need to complete a 120-hour work-based placement with a relevant agency. The aim of the work integrated learning (WIL) experience is for students to observe and get involved with advocacy or support work activities. There is some flexibility in how each agency manages the placement and sometimes students get involved in project work.
Most students are specialising in the mental health and addiction support stream, while others are specialising in social support or community facilitation.
