Workshop: Supporting children and young people with the experience of loss and grief
Grief is a complex and deeply personal experience - especially for children and young people. This workshop with Catherine Gallagher supports professionals to build confidence and understanding in navigating grief in younger populations.
You'll explore how loss affects children and their wider whānau, what they need to process these experiences, and how to recognise when grief may become complicated. With a strong emphasis on practical strategies and self-care, this session aims to equip you to offer meaningful support while maintaining your own wellbeing in this emotionally challenging work.

Time: 9 to 11.30am.
Location: Mental Health Education and Resource Centre (Level 1 at 12 Hazeldean Road, Addington) or online through Zoom.
