SCRUM TALK: A tailored workshop from A-OK
SCRUM TALK is a conversation for families, coaches and peers to have with their young players. Our young players start moving into competitive sports from 11 years old and over. The pressures of life phases, peer relationships, expectations, school, whanau ties start to take shape.
The SCRUM support model (Safe Conversations Resulting in Uplifting Moments) is about creating a safe space for our young people to journey through these kinds of life issues safely.
Families, coaches, teachers, peers are all part of this scrum support. We want to see our children reach their goals but we also want to them to be resilient, equipped, supported and engaged in healthy coping skills to journey through the next few years.
SCRUM TALK is designed for sports teams, coaches, parents, families who have a young person engaged in a sports team. The workshop can be delivered in 90 minutes to 2 hours.
Your group will be more prepared and ready to support their players or young people to become young adults who are resilient and prepared for life ahead.
