Free Athol Mann Lecture: Connecting the dots between fundamental research and health in Aotearoa
The Canterbury Medical Research Foundation (CMRF) is delighted to welcome Professor Tony Kettle to give this year's Athol Mann Lecture.
Professor Kettle's talk will cover how our fundamental scientific research has helped us improve health by providing a better understanding of diseases, new clinical tests, targets for new drugs, and drug development expertise. He will give examples of what his research group have achieved in the past and what they are proposing to do in the near future and will focus around infections and inflammatory diseases.
Date: Wednesday 3rd September 2025.
Time: 5 to 7pm. Refreshments will be available to purchase.
Location: Black Box Theatre at Papa Hou (4 Rolleston Avenue, Central City).
Cost: FREE but registrations are essential.
