Lincoln University seminar: Fighting food waste together
Collaborations between the public and private sector are vital for addressing wicked problems such as food waste. Such collaborations are often in the form of multi-stakeholder partnerships (MSPs). MSPs are characterised by shared goals between multiple stakeholders towards wicked problems which are difficult to tackle alone.
Come and hear Dr Joya Kemper (Associate Professor in Marketing at the University of Canterbury) explore the formation and maintenance of a successful MSP on food waste in the Netherlands. She will look at some learnings from the case study and how this could be relevant to other nations like Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The research takes a particular interest in the role of supporting stakeholders - such as those not directly involved in food manufacturing or selling - as their roles and motivations remain unknown.
Date: Wednesday 2nd April 2025.
Time: 1 to 2pm. Keynote speaker begins at 1.10pm.
Location: Ross Building at Lincoln University.
Cost: FREE.
