Campaign to keep Every Child Warm This Winter
The Blanket Bank at the Christchurch Method Mission aims to reduce the high incidence of respiratory disease among whānau living in Christchurch’s high-deprivation neighbourhoods. Respiratory disease is the third most common cause of death in New Zealand, and Māori and Pacific children are the most severely affected.
Their winter appeal is called "Every Child Warm This Winter" and is a reminder of their mission to continuously work towards improving the health and wellbeing of tamariki and their whānau.
By supporting their appeal, you will ensure that they have sufficient bedding items (duvets, blankets or other bedding) to provide to struggling whānau. This will keep families warm during the cold months and removing a financial stressor.
