Memorial design raises many issues around emotional landscapes, landscapes as sites of care, issues of equity, ethics, and aesthetics. Through the lens of memorial research, design, and critique, this talk will navigate questions around memorials as landscapes of care.
Jacky will give examples ranging from her involvement in the Pentagon Memorial design competition, Ōtautahi’s sensitive sites in the wake of the earthquakes to designing at Pike River.
