St Albans Laughter Club back laughing in person
The St Albans Laughter Club is back in action laughing together in person - having taken laughter yoga online via Zoom since August 2021.
Laughter is the body’s natural antidote to stress and laughter yoga teaches you to breathe properly to release tension and stress - and feel good and happy at the same time! It's the perfect exercise for stressful times and it's fun!
The Club would love to laugh with you soon!
Dates: Every Sunday.
Time: 11am to noon.
Location: Scottish Society Hall - corner of Caledonian and Edgeware Roads.
Cost: $3 per session.
Here are some more health benefits of laughter:
- Brain and body is flooded with oxygen;
- Muscles relax;
- Circulation is increased;
- Killer T Cell production is increased - which helps fight disease and cancer;
- Immune system is stimulated;
- Internal organs are given a massage;
- Respiratory system is cleaned out;
- Cardiovascular workout;
- Blood pressure returns to normal;
- Increases feel good chemicals - endorphin and serotonin; and
- Decreases stress hormones - cortisol and adrenaline.
There's no need to book - just come along with your laughing gear and comfortable clothing
Note: You will not be expected to turn yourself into a pretzel. The yoga part of laughter yoga is about deep diaphragmatic breathing.
