Garden Design
Learn how to transform your garden into a beautiful and practical outdoor space. Join this immersive garden design course with Elizabeth Wilks that will help see your outdoor space with fresh eyes.
Dates: Saturdays from 2nd August 2025 (7 weeks).
Time: 1.30 to 4.30pm.
Location: The Kiosk in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.
Cost: $590 for CHS members or Friends of the Botanic Gardens and $700 for non-members.
The final session will be an all-day practical session (10am to 4pm).

Bonsai workshop
Discover a passion for bonsai with bonsai artist Aaron Curtis. Be guided through the intricate process of creating a bonsai that tells a story, creates a memory or resembles a balance between art and nature.
You'll take home a 2.5L nursery juniper in a high quality ceramic Yixing bonsai pot.
Dates: Sunday 3rd August 2025.
Time: 9am to 1pm.
Location: The Kiosk in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.
Cost: $185 for CHS members or Friends of the Botanic Gardens and $225 for non-members.

Botanical ceramics: Make a bud vase
Craft your own botanic clay patterns on a hand-made vase. Let your creativity flourish at this workshop with Jane McCulla. All materials provided.
Date: Sunday 24th August 2025.
Time: 2 to 4pm.
Location: The Kiosk in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.

Grow your own cut flowers
Discover how simple it is to grow a variety of cut flowers from seed and bring home your own sown seeds for your garden with Isabelle Weston.
You’ll gain valuable knowledge on how to nurture a thriving flower garden and take home enough seeds to provide plenty of future planting and picking.

Time: 6.30 to 8.30pm.
