Rainbow Diversity and How to be a Supportive Ally
Join these FREE interactive educational group sessions from the Mental Health Education and Resource Centre (MHERC) to learn about rainbow diversity and practical tips and resources on how to be a supportive ally.
These online sessions with Vicky Wood are ideal for people who want to increase their understanding and learn ways to promote healthy inclusive environments for rainbow people in New Zealand through interactive discussions.
Dates: Thursdays from 3rd to 31st October 2024.
Time: 12.15 to 1.15pm.
Location: Online via Zoom.
Cost: FREE.

You can attend the whole series of talks, or choose which sessions you would like to attend:
- Thursday 3rd October: Sexual orientation and attraction;
- Thursday 10th October: Gender minorities;
- Thursday 17th October: Intersex and variations of sex characteristics (VSC) people;
- Thursday 24th October: Supporting Rainbow relationships; and
- Thursday 31st October: Creating safe spaces for Rainbow people.
These interactive sessions will also provide an opportunity to ask questions, share information and connect with others. Participants can actively participate or stay anonymous with their camera off - although participation is encouraged). Sessions and registration details are private and confidential. By attending, participants must agree to keep attendee's details and stories that are shared confidential.
