Exercise classes for people living with neurological conditions
The NeuroGym provides long-term condition-specific exercise for people living with neurological conditions like stroke, MS, and Parkinson’s, to help maximise their quality of life.
They work on key areas like strength and balance along with specific impairments associated with altered muscle tone and damaged neurological connections. Just as importantly, they help to alleviate the crushing sense of isolation that can occur after a neurological event and restore confidence that has often been eroded.
Sport Canterbury endorses this programme saying: “This class is full of great ideas to support and encourage strength and balance for a group that has neurological conditions. Thank you for providing such a safe, welcoming and encouraging environment.”
Days: Mondays and Thursdays.
Time: Noon to 2pm.
Location: The Kind Foundation (13a Bishopdale Court, Bishopdale) - formerly the YMCA Bishopdale.
