Panel Discussion: Solutions to the Older Persons Housing Crisis
The Christchurch Methodist Mission (CMM) invites you to a panel discussion on finding solutions for housing issues impacting older adults. Everyone welcome.
Date: Thursday 9th October 2025.
Time: 7 to 9.30pm.
Location: Christchurch Methodist Mission (309 Durham Street North, Central City).
Cost: FREE.
The discussion will be moderated by Paul Gilberd - Chief Executive of Community Housing Aotearoa - and feature:
- Amber Clarke (Ngāi Tūāhuriri): Pou Ora – Principle Advisor Wellbeing at the Whitiora Centre;
- Dr Kay Saville Smith: Director of CRESA and Chief Science Advisor to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development; and
- Jane Wrightson: Retirement Commissioner.
The event will include tea and coffee, and an opportunity to view the Listen Up! Seniors Take a Stand on Housing – Whakarongo Mai! E tū tohe ana ngā kaumātua mō ngā take whare activist exhibition on display in the foyer.
