Routes 95 and 97 now stop at Ravenswood
Environment Canterbury media release: 23rd June 2025
A new bus stop in Woodend will strengthen the connection between Ravenswood residents and their use of Metro services. Route 95 Waikuku and Pegasus/City and Route 97 Rangiora/Pegasus are now picking up and dropping off customers from the new stop on Bob Robertson Drive, outside McDonalds.
This addition provides a safer option for customers who transit to and from the area.
Significant safety improvement
“This is a significant safety improvement as there’s no longer any need to cross busy State Highway 1 from the stops on Pegasus Boulevard to access Ravenswood,” Public Transport general manager Stewart Gibbon said.
It also means customers now have easy access to shops and homes in the increasingly popular Ravenswood area.
“Additionally, Pegasus residents are now able to easily access the supermarket from the bus. It’s also a more convenient location for parents picking up or dropping off children who use the bus to get to school,” he added.
Collaborative approach results in positive change
The new stop and route changes are thanks to a collaborative effort between Environment Canterbury, Waimakariri District Council and NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi.
Routes 95 and 97 will stop at Bob Robertson Drive from Monday 23rd June 2025.
