Join the Environment Canterbury Youth Ropu
Applications are now open for the Environment Canterbury Youth Rōpū (EYR).
The Youth Rōpū is a 16-voluntary member group for young people aged 14 to 24 with two mana whenua, and two geographic representatives from North Canterbury, Mid Canterbury, South Canterbury, Christchurch North East, Christchurch West, Christchurch South, and Christchurch Central. The Youth Rōpū is coordinated by the Youth Engagement and Education Team at Environment Canterbury Regional Council.
Apply now if you’re interested in the environment and want to help strengthen the youth voice in Canterbury! Applications close on Friday 20th December 2019.
There are six vacancies for 2020 in the following areas:
- North Canterbury (2);
- North/East Christchurch (1);
- South Christchurch (1);
- Mid-Canterbury (1); and
- South Canterbury (1).
The goal of the Youth Rōpū is to build the relationship between the Regional Council and young people to empower each other to be good kaitiaki of our environment.
