Get habits and hints for wellbeing online
The Mental Health Education and Research Centre (MHERC) is running FREE weekly one-hour sessions to help you learn and gain skills around mental health - starting Monday 15th May 2023.
Dates: Mondays from 15th May to 26th June 2023.
Time: 6.30 to 7.30pm.
Location: Online via Zoom.
Each sesssion with Grant Cooper will cover a different topic:
- What’s Going On? Stress to Distress (Monday 15th May)
Get some ideas around how to manage the common stressors in our lives.
- All of Me: Thinking Holistically (Monday 22nd May)
Explore the notion of whole self, looking at how each aspect of our lives is important to good emotional health.
- The Mind Does Matter: The Impact of Thoughts (Monday 29th May)
Understand how our thoughts impact our emotions and how you can respond.
- Speaking Up: An Assertive Self (Monday 12th June)
Get some ideas around how to be assertive to ensure you can meet your own needs.
- Action Planning: Wellness Recovery (Monday 19th June)
Look at a model of self care that focuses on strategies for seeking and maintaining wellness.
- What If? Future Focussed (Monday 26th June)
Consider the possibility of relapse or setbacks with a focus on preparation to minimise the impacts.

To join these webinars, you will need a:
- headset and microphone;
- built-in laptop camera or attachable webcam device (for laptop or PC); and
- stable broadband connection.
