The Women's Centre are offering a variety of courses for women during Term 4. All courses are located at the Women's Centre (Unit 3, 242 Ferry Road).

Cultivating Peace through Mindfulness, Meditation and Gratitude

Are you wanting to feel more at ease in yourself and in your life? This course with Lisa Mills is designed to focus on calming your mind and re-connecting to your natural inner peace.

This course involves group work, discussion and relaxation techniques.

Dates: Tuesdays from 19th October to 9th November 2021 (4 sessions).
Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Cost: $45 if waged, $30 if on a low wage or unwaged.

Learn Weaving Harakeke

Create 5 different putiputi with Raukohe Hallett to create a floral arrangement in the final session.

Weaving is acknowledged as having its own life force and is accorded a level of respect depending on the mana of the weaver and the qualities of the weaving process.

Dates: Thursdays from 21st October to 18th November 2021 (5 sessions).
Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Cost: $50 if waged, $35 if on a low wage or unwaged.

Making Emotions Meaningful

Explore a range of emotions and by identifying underlying needs, making them meaningful.

Learning to express needs and feelings assertively will be one of a number of helpful tools you'll take home.

This course with Nilguen Kulpe involves group work, discussions and some activities such as breathing techniques.

Dates: Wednesdays from 17th November to 8th December 2021 (4 sessions).
