Online workshop on understanding gender diversity
There has been a shift in the gender landscape, how gender is expressed and experienced has changed significantly in the last five years. How we are able to respond to these changes has a direct impact on our ability to support our students or clients. Currently our gender diverse communities are facing barriers in the areas of education, income, health and well-being. With education and support we can start to improve the outcomes for our diverse communities.
The workshop will be presented by Ari Nicholson and a Collaborative Trust Youth Tutor.
Participants at this workshop will:
- Gain a stronger understanding of gender diversity and what the diverse landscape looks like for Aotearoa;
- Explore how our young people are identifying and where are we going as a nation in supporting our diverse young people; and
- Identify the barriers and issues many of our diverse young people face and how we can start addressing them.

Time: 9.30am to 12.30pm.
