Health and Safety: A checklist for Managers

Check out this upcoming talk by Susan from Community Law Canterbury if you are a Manager of a not-for-profit organisation, or interested in Health and Safety issues on behalf of your organisation.

Date and Time: Friday 2nd February 2018, from 8.30 to 9.30am.
Location: Christchurch Community House (301 Tuam Street).

Volunteers: whose liable when something goes wrong?!

Mistakes happen and it can create a few questions about whose responsible for putting things right when these involve a volunteer.

Susan from Community Law Canterbury will focus on what law applies when your organisation finds itself in a sticky situation and a volunteer is involved. She will also look at some steps you can take to minimise the risk of this being an issue for your organisation.

This seminar is ideal for if you are a manager or co-ordinator of volunteers.

Date and Time: Wednesday 21st February 2018, from 1 to 2pm.
Location: Community Law Canterbury (198 Montreal Street  - on the corner of Walker Street). Entrance is via the double glass doors off Walker Street.

On-site parking is limited at the seminar location. Consider combining the meeting with a coffee or a visit to South City as their car park is one block east of the venue.

Let Volunteering Canterbury know if you have a disability card so the on-site disability park at Community Law Canterbury can be reserved for you.
