All Right? Digest: November 2022
Kia ora You're the best thing since sliced bread!
And 13th November - World Kindness Day - is the perfect day to make sure you know it!
World Kindness Day was started by the World Kindness Movement and is now championed by the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation whose mission is all about making kindness the norm, not the exception.
Moments of kindness don't have to be huge grand gestures, it might look like smiling and saying hello to someone as you wander past, telling a co-worker they really smashed it with their mahi or writing a nice letter to someone you haven't spoken to in a while.
And the best thing is... not only does your kindness make someone else feel good, but it makes you feel great by boosting your body's feel-good chemicals - serotonin and dopamine.
There is some awesome science in a recent article about the positive impact of kindness from the Greater Good Magazine.
For this bumper kindness issue we chatted to Sarah Page, Chief Executive of the Kindness Collective Foundation to learn about their awesome mahi across the motu. We also share some easy ways to share the love from the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation as well as some of our free resources that are sure to give a kindness boost.
In a world where you can be anything, let's be kind!
