Kia ora Huge shout out to all of those reading this at level 4. To everyone in Auckland and North of Auckland - please picture those elsewhere giving you a standing ovation for doing the extra hard yards to keep our country safe. 

We know it is no easy task being in lockdown and as the time ticks on, you might be noticing new emotions, have new things that get under your skin, or perhaps you're feeling just a little bit blah. In this issue, we look at why we can feel extra tired in a lockdown. 

We are thrilled to be able to bring you two stories on students at Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate, who are leading their peers and communities throughout this lockdown. We think you'll really enjoy hearing how they are doing in lockdown and how they are making sure they stay connected with those around them - because as deputy head girl, Monika says:

"We’re all experiencing it differently so if you take a step to ask someone how they are it will actually make a difference.”

Not all right?

New challenges and the loss of our regular routines is causing stress for many of us. This can really erode our wellbeing over time. It’s important to remember to do the little things that help recharge us. It’s also important to know there is someone to talk to and free help available.

It’s all right to reach out if you need to - we all need a bit of support from time-to-time.
