Notices from the Health Promotion Forum: July 2021
Kia ora and ko na mauri
We’re halfway through Plastic-Free July, but it's not too late to join the millions of people around the world in taking this month's challenge and help rid our planet of plastic waste.
We've also just celebrated Kiribati Language Week - Wikin te Taetae ni Kiribati and were reminded how vital language is to the people of this small island nation which is under threat from rising sea levels. As the Minister for Pacific Peoples Aupito William Sio says language will play a crucial role in helping to keep the people of Kiribati “rooted to their land and tradition in the coming crisis”.
On the professional front HPF has confirmed the topics for the next two webishops in our line-up of informative, engaging and interactive webishops for the second half of the year.
We're pleased to confirm that the next Certificate of Achievement in Introducing Health Promotion (CoA) - jointly offered by Manukau Institute of Technology and HPF - is scheduled to commence with Block One on 10th August. With such positive feedback from students who completed the course last month, this is a course you don't want to miss out on, so secure your place by registering before the end of this month!
We welcome submissions for job vacancies, courses, webishops and events in the field of health promotion from our members. This notice is sent out on the 20th of each month so be sure to submit your ads in plenty of time.
