Getting Through Together Digest: 2nd November 2021
Kia ora Feeling blah? We get it!
It's completely normal to feel a bit low or flat sometimes - and let's face it, living through lockdowns and all the uncertainty and disruption of COVID-19 doesn't make things any easier.
Even though things for many of us are really tough right now, and there are all the understandable frustrations of missing out on the weddings, whānau get-togethers, parties or even 'fun' runs, we want you to know that it's still possible to have hope.
Finding ways to hold onto hope can help you feel in control of a situation and also drive optimism for the future - which helps to boost overall wellbeing. In this issue, we speak to Dr Lucy Hone who shares with us her insights around hope and how this period too shall pass.
We're also thrilled to be able to share with you the release of an exciting new survey that gets us thinking about all the things we have in common. If you have strong views on the appropriateness of pineapple on pizza then now's the time to have your say!

Not all right?
New challenges and the loss of our regular routines is causing stress for many of us. This can really erode our wellbeing over time. It’s important to remember to do the little things that help recharge us. It’s also important to know there is someone to talk to and free help available.
It’s all right to reach out if you need to - we all need a bit of support from time-to-time.
Call or text 1737 to speak with a trained counsellor anytime - it’s free and completely confidential. You can also call Lifeline on 0800 543354 or text HELP to 4357.
