Join the Otago Global Health Institute conference
The theme of the 15th annual Otago Global Health Institute (OGHI) conference is: Aotearoa New Zealand's contribution to global health – Global citizen versus good neighbour?
We will explore and discuss Aotearoa New Zealand's liberal nationalist approach to health, the issues of how and why it may compromise our global health engagement and critically, the steps we will need to take to ensure we honour our national, regional and wider international commitments.
We will also discuss how we can best continue to foster the development of multi-disciplinary partnerships across the health sciences, humanities, sciences and commerce.
The conference will also include the 2023 McAuley Oration - a free public lecture by a leading Global Health Researcher.
Date: Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th November 2023.
Time: 10am to 5pm on Tuesday and 8.30am to 5pm on Wednesday.
Location: Centre for Pacific Health at the University of Otago (Dunedin).
Cost: $175 per person or $40 for students or unwaged.
