Collaborative Partnerships Advisor at Community and Public Health

Community and Public Health (Canterbury DHB) are leading the way to improve population health outcomes through the development and implementation of strategies to enable wellbeing and resilience. An opportunity has arisen for a Collaborative Partnerships Advisor to join their Communities Team.

This full-time position will be based in Christchurch and will report to the Communities Team Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for building collaborative relationships across agencies to support the development of wellbeing strategies. You will be supporting the development of the Greater Christchurch Psychosocial Committee, and manage the oversight of the Shared Programme of Action including providing strategic advice.

Essentials for this role are:

  • a demonstrated ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders;
  • experience developing and managing projects;
  • strong communication and analytical skills; and
  • proven experience in working across multiple sectors.

A sound knowledge of local government and community infrastructure is highly desirable, along with knowledge of the policy process.

Community and Public Health are looking for someone with a passion for public health issues who has a commitment to effective public health practice. You will have an awareness of the overall health and political environment and a strong commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and working with a range of cultures.
