Social Media workshop from Volunteering Canterbury

Volunteering Canterbury logo.Find out how to plan, engage and using social media as part of your Marketing Plan at this upcoming workshop. The workshop will include:

  • tips and tricks of using social media;
  • understanding which social media platform works best for you;
  • how and why social media fits into your daily marketing and long term goals; and
  • how and why to be realistic, intuitive and relaxed about social media.

Date and Time: Wednesday 23rd August 2017, from 9.30am to noon
Location: St Albans Community Centre (Colombo Street). Entry via free off-street car parking at 126 Caledonian Road.
Cost: $60 for attendees from Volunteering Canterbury member organisations, and $85 for attendees from other organisations.

This workshop will be run by Heather Milne - formerly of Takahe Marketing and Design Solutions. Heather’s experience in the not-for-profit sector has helped develop her:

  • knack of implementing training and recruitment systems for volunteer and paid staff (with fantastic morale-boosting outcomes), and
  • skill at tackling the worlds of Twitter and Facebook.

Until recently Heather ran Takahe Marketing and Design Solutions with business partner Karen Shepard, where they blended marketing with community, integrity, and common sense.
