Creative Communities: Funding for the arts in Waimakariri
Assistance is available for groups and individuals who are keen to provide arts and cultural activities in the Waimakariri District from the Creative Communities New Zealand Scheme.
There are three funding criterai under the Creative Communities Scheme:
- Access and participation;
- Diversity; and
- Young people.
Currently the Committee is giving priority to applications supporting Diversity. This would include for example:
- Workshops, rehearsals, performances, festivals, or exhibitions in Māori, Pasifika heritage or local migrant communities;
- Arts projects that bring together groups from a range of different communities; and
- Workshops, rehearsals, performances, festivals or exhibitions by groups with experience of disability or mental illness.
The next Creative Communities round will close on 31st March 2017 for events or activities that have not begun before 15th May 2017.
