World Iron Awareness Day

Are you getting enough?

World Iron Awareness Week will run during the first week of May with the aim of increasing awareness on the importance of iron during pregnancy.

The ‘Are you getting enough?’ annual campaign will focus on encouraging New Zealanders to talk about the very real issue of iron deficiency and highlight the risks associated with iron deficiency in pregnancy.

Living Streets: Blueprint for Change

Create walking cities: A blueprint for change sets out seven steps to a walking city which will lead to healthier, more economically successful, greener and stronger communities.

Vacancies For Health Facilitators For Active Futures

Otara Health is now looking for health facilitators to deliver a new service called Active Futures. This service will work with parents/caregivers and their four year old child who are referred from Before School Check providers.

Health Facilitators will work to enable whānau to increase control over their health by supporting them to improve their nutrition and physical activity.

Applications close Thursday 13th April 2017.
