2017 has kicked in ... along with summer, sunshine and barbeques. At the Health Promotion Forum we're gearing up for another year of great workshops and courses! Add a Health Promotion qualification to your New Year goals and lock one of the dates below in your 2017 diary. We've got more training coming up so - watch this space! Certificate of Achievement in Introducing Health Promotion
Have you thought about putting a qualification to your health promotion skills or is it time to upskill and further develop your work as a health promoter?

Determinants of Health
Take advantage of this online course where you can study when and where it suits you! The Determinants of Health online workshop contains:
- Youtube clips, TED talks and resources to help you explore the topic further
- Online activities that you need to complete
- An opportunity for you to share your knowledge with other participants
The workshop is delivered in 4 sections:
- Housing and Education as examples of social determinants of health
- Health promotion actions
On completion of the workshop you will receive a certificate of accomplishment.
The cost is $99 per person including GST.

Workforce Nutrition course from Pacific Heartbeat
Pacific Heartbeat invites you to register for the Workforce Nutrition course.

Pacific Nutrition and Weight Control workshop
Date and Time: Wednesday 29th March, from 9am to 4pm
Location: Heart Foundation Auckland (9 Kalmai Street, Ellerslie)
Cost: $50 per person
You will learn about:
- nutrition and weight control from a Pacific perspective;
- the role of food in Pacific culture and weight issues;
- the impact of food choices on Pacific weight;
- what diets - if any - work for weight control; and
- practical steps to improving Pacific weight.

Join Inspiring Communities as we visit communities leading change across Auckland and take part in an ideas exchange – learning practical skills together.
Dates: Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th April 2017
Location: Jet Park Airport Hotel and Conference Centre (Mangere, Auckland)
Take the opportunity to get out from your desk and be part of this innovative event. The first day you’ll venture out across Auckland neighbourhoods to see Community-Led Development first hand - hearing from and talking with people who don’t usually cross your path. You’ll then spend day two sharing what you know while learning about the new tools, skills, proven ideas and much more.
